CASES
Applied work across strategy, design, education, and infrastructure
Our work spans advisory, studio practice, education, and collaborative infrastructure development.
The cases below illustrate different entry points into long-term textile systems — from early-stage strategic guidance to applied remade pilots and shared infrastructure.
Advisory
Material & Lifecycle Strategy — Performance Textiles
Early-stage system thinking
Strategic advisory supporting lifecycle decisions for natural-fibre performance textiles.
Work included durability mapping, friction and wear analysis, material behaviour evaluation, and multi-cycle planning.
Focus:
– lifecycle strategy
– repair and remade readiness
– decision support under regulatory pressure
Hospitality Textiles — Strategy Before Production
Design integration before remade
Strategic exploration of alternatives to short-life and single-use textile products in hospitality contexts.
The work focused on use patterns, sustainability perception, and feasibility for remade solutions — prior to any production decision.
Focus:
– system mapping
– pilot scoping
– risk and feasibility assessment
Studio
Performance Sports Jersey
Design concept | In collaboration
Development of a performance sports jersey applying Nature-First material thinking and Design for Seven Seasons.
The project explored durability, comfort, friction zones, and repair potential using natural and low-impact material strategies.
Wool Remade Capsule
Concept study
A remade capsule developed from wool returns and surplus materials.
The project investigates cutting logic, material variation, and visual coherence within remade systems.
Denim Remade Concept
Concept study
Exploration of remade denim systems using post-consumer and surplus denim.
Focus on modular construction, reuse-oriented pattern architecture, and lifecycle continuity.
Ritual Capsule — Natural Offcuts
Concept study
Design exploration using production offcuts of natural fibres.
The project examines how ritual, care, and emotional longevity can be embedded into remade garment systems.
Education & Teaching
Teaching for Continuity — International & Academic Contexts
Education | Ongoing
Development and delivery of teaching formats focused on longevity, repair, remade systems, and material behaviour.
Experience includes:
fashion design teaching in China
university-level teaching and industry collaboration in Germany
cooperation projects with textile manufacturers on circular use of production waste
development of the Nature-First module for design education
workshops and lectures on sustainable consumption
adult education formats (VHS), including a Bildungsurlaub program in cooperation with VHS Berlin
Focus:
– translating complex systems into accessible learning formats
– connecting design education with material reality and industry practice
Co-Lab Pilot
Hotel Slipper Pilot
Infrastructure pilot | In development
First pilot project within Co-Lab, exploring remade hotel slippers made from natural-fibre surplus and post-consumer textiles.
The pilot serves as a test case for:
– material behaviour and durability
– cutting and construction logic
– documentation and certification readiness
– modular remade workflows
The focus lies on infrastructure development, not product scaling.
Closing paragraph (optional, but good):
Some projects focus on early design and strategic clarification.
Others work directly with existing materials and production constraints.
Together, they reflect how long-term textile systems are built — step by step, not all at once.
